UK Chancellor Lifts Machine Games Duty to 25%, Sparing Sector Feared 40% Rate
The standard rate of Machine Games Duty will rise from 20 per cent to 25 per cent in April 2027. The Betting and Gaming Council says EY modelling points to almost 9,000 job losses and up to 1,000 venue closures.
