The Belgian Ministry of Justice is to impose a seven-day rolling deposit limit of €200 online gambling accounts, effective from October 20th.
Any player seeking to remove their deposit limit will have to submit a request to their operator, who will then make a written request to the regulator. The player’s credit rating will then be checked with the central credit register, and those found not to be in default will have the deposit limit lifted. A monthly check must then be made with the central credit register to maintain a player’s qualification.
Operators will also be required to notify the regulator of all individual increases or decreases in deposit limits, and of all accounts that are closed altogether.
